Introduction
Social Sage ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as:

What we do NOT collect: Voice recordings and audio files are processed locally on your device and streamed directly to speech services in real-time. We never store, upload, or have access to your audio or video files.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide LLM-powered coaching and personalized feedback
- Improve our services and develop new features based on usage patterns
- Process your subscription and manage your account
- Send you technical notices and support messages
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising (with your permission)

Data Processing
Your speech is streamed in real-time (not recorded or stored) using the following services:

All audio and video files remain on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Speech is streamed directly to transcription services in real-time and is not retained by these services after processing.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information:
- API keys stored securely in iOS Keychain
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Audio and video files stored locally on your device only

App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
On iOS 14.5 and later, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. When you see Apple's "Allow App to Track" prompt:
- If you allow tracking: We may use your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to measure ad effectiveness and optimize our marketing
- If you deny tracking: We use privacy-preserving methods (SKAdNetwork, Apple Search Ads Attribution) that don't identify you personally
Your choice does not affect app functionality - all features work the same either way.
Advertising & Measurement
We use the following services to measure advertising effectiveness:
- AppsFlyer - Mobile attribution platform that helps us understand how users discover our app
- Meta Conversions API - Server-side event tracking for Facebook/Instagram ad optimization
- Apple Search Ads - Attribution for App Store search advertising
- SKAdNetwork - Apple's privacy-preserving ad measurement framework
These services may collect device information, app installation data, and IP address (for approximate location only). We do NOT share your IDFA without your explicit permission via the ATT prompt.
First-Party Analytics
We use PostHog for first-party analytics to understand how users interact with our app. This is NOT cross-app tracking and does not require ATT permission. We collect:
- Screen views and feature usage
- Session duration and engagement metrics
- Onboarding completion rates
- Crash reports and error logs
This data is used solely to improve the app experience and is not shared with advertisers.
